Juan was born in Hermosillo, Mexico and moved to Mesa, Arizona at a young age, where he continues to live and work. He earned both his undergraduate degree and his J.D. from Arizona State University. Since graduating law school, Juan's practice has focused on general corporate work, advising businesses on a wide range of transactional and governance matters. As a first-generation immigrant, Juan understands firsthand the challenges of navigating the immigration system. While this is his first formal involvement in immigrant justice and community advocacy work, he is excited to begin serving with PLAN and to help advocate for individuals and families currently facing those challenges. Juan is passionate about contributing his skills and perspective in support of a more just and inclusive Arizona. Outside of his legal practice, Juan enjoys all things fitness and is an avid supporter of Arizona sports.
