WHO WE ARE
We are an engaged network of attorneys and other community members committed to increasing access-to-justice and pro bono legal services for low-income community members and providing legal support to community organizations working to advance social justice in Arizona.
Our members include attorneys from all sectors of the legal profession who contribute their time, expertise, social capital and financial resources to protect and advance the rights of everyone in our community, including immigrants, women, religious minorities, racial minorities, and the LGBTQ+ community, as well as to promote free speech, voting rights, police accountability, and criminal justice reform.

JUSTICE FOR IMMIGRANTS & FAMILIES PROJECT
The Justice for Immigrants & Families Project (JIFP) is the current focus of PLAN's efforts. JIFP is developing new strategies to promote access to justice for non-detained immigrant families in Maricopa County who are facing deportation. JIFP launched in January 2018 in partnership with the Florence Immigrant & Refugee Rights Project, which will house the JIFP attorneys. We currently have one full-time lead attorney on staff and are working to hire a second attorney and a legal fellow. JIFP will provide direct representation to low-income, non-detained immigrants in removal proceedings and collaborate with community organizations to provide know-your-rights training, group workshops, individual legal consultations, and access to self-help legal guides for unrepresented immigrants.
