Board Member
Tunga currently serves as the Director of Writing Services at the ASU Foundation, leading a team that provides philanthropic writing support across Arizona State University. Over the last nine years at ASU, Tunga has served as Senior Director in the Office of University Initiatives, where she led the Innovation Fellowship Program, managed university-wide proposal efforts, and conducted outreach to philanthropic, educational, corporate, and nonprofit partners. In 2019, she launched a new team as Director of Presidential Advancement at the ASU Foundation, advancing philanthropic relationships and strategies for presidential priorities in student success, education technology, refugee education, and educational access. In 2022, she was Director of Partnerships and Projects in the Office of University Affairs, advancing a planning grant to design a new educational model for conservation. Earlier in her career, Tunga taught Special Education as a Teach For America Corps member and served as Senior Associate at a leading Phoenix public affairs firm, specializing in legislative affairs, campaign development, and strategic communications. She graduated with honors from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and earned a master’s degree in journalism from Indiana University. Tunga enjoys exploring Arizona's diverse landscapes with her husband and three children.
