Ricardo migrated from Mexico in 1991 when he was about 21 years old. He fled his country after an altercation he experienced with a Mexican government official. His father was afraid they would retaliate against him and advised him to leave. Ricardo has had a difficult journey and hopes that through storytelling he can find some healing.
